Sabang Beach is where surfing in the Philippines came of age — the break was filmed in Apocalypse Now (1979) and the crew left boards behind, starting Aurora's surf scene. Consistent beach breaks at 0.5–2m make it one of the best learn-to-surf spots in Luzon. Tip: October to March is the prime swell window from Pacific typhoons; rental boards and lessons from the beach operators run ₱500–₱800/hour. August–September can produce overhead surf for advanced riders.
