The wind-sculpted inland plateau of Batan Island — free-roaming cattle, steep grassland hills and the tallest views on the island. Combine with the Spanish lighthouse at Naidi Hills and the valley below for the classic Batanes half-day. Tip: hire a motorbike or join a guided tour; the plateau is 15km from Basco and the light at 6–8am is what photographers come for. Arrive before tour vans at 9am.
