Barracuda Lake Thermocline

A landlocked lake on Coron Island with one of diving's strangest phenomena: a visible thermocline where warm brown water (33°C) meets cold clear green water (26°C) at 15m. You can see the two layers meeting as you descend. Snorkellers can experience the surface layer above the mixing zone. Tip: combine with Kayangan Lake in a single day; Barracuda is quieter and arguably the more dramatic once you're in the water.
