Coron Bay WWII Wreck Diving
year-round (best Oct–Jun)
Coron Bay holds roughly a dozen Japanese WWII supply ships sunk by US carrier aircraft on 24 September 1944 — some of the best wreck diving in Southeast Asia, all packed into one small area. Local's tip: the Irako is the jewel but it's a deep 34–45m wreck for penetration-trained divers, while the Olympia Maru near Sangat Island sits shallower (hull ~12–30m) and makes a gentle intro for Advanced Open Water divers.
Going? The planner prices every way into Coron — planes, ferries and buses side by side.
