Corong-Corong Beach Grill Strip
year-round (evenings from 5PM)
Fifteen minutes from El Nido town along the beach road, Corong-Corong has better sunsets, fewer tourists, and grill vendors who set up tables in the sand from 5PM — you pick tiger prawns, squid, or whole fish from the fresh display and watch them cook it on the spot, paired with garlic sinangag and a San Miguel from the nearest sari-sari store, for roughly ₱80–200 per piece. This is as close as El Nido gets to eating the way the boat crews eat. Local's tip: the town's pre-dawn palengke is worth the early alarm — fishing boats unload at dawn, fish sells by the kilo at far below restaurant rates, and a nearby karinderya will cook it for a small fee.
Going? The planner prices every way into El Nido — planes, ferries and buses side by side.
