Mimbalut Falls & Tinago Falls Loop

Iligan is the 'City of Majestic Waterfalls' — 23 waterfalls within the city and province. Mimbalut is the most accessible (10 minutes from downtown, 45m drop into a deep plunge pool). Tinago ('hidden') requires 300 steps down a cliff face but rewards with a cathedral-scaled grotto. Tip: do both in a half-day; hire a habal-habal motorcycle from the Iligan jeepney terminal. Tinago is best at 7–9am before the steps fill with weekend visitors.
