Born in 2011 in a hilltop amphitheater overlooking Puerto Galera bay, Malasimbo is the Philippines' most atmospheric boutique festival — reggae, soul, jazz, funk, and electronic music under open sky, organized around arts, environment, indigenous culture, and music. The D'Aboville Foundation's nonprofit stewardship keeps it sustainability-focused. Local's tip: The Malasimboat floating DJ party and the silent disco inside the grounds are not on the printed schedule — look for handwritten flyers posted at the entrance on Day 1.
