A boomerang-shaped sandbar island with powdery white sand and deep blue water, reached by ferry from Palompon (northwest Leyte, about 2.5 hours from Tacloban by van). Overnight camping is allowed with advance LGU permission. Tip: the logistics involve a van to Palompon before the boat — book a driver the night before and go as a sunrise departure; you'll have the island largely to yourselves until 10am.
